The Naked Paladin
THE NAKED PALADIN
His armor became too hot to bear
And burned the clothes that he did wear.
He slashed leather straps both here and there,
Until he stood there totally bare,
In pain, the naked paladin.
His weapons and armor lay at his feet.
They glowed red hot from the foul spell's heat.
And there on his flesh, in patterns so neat,
Lay armor-shaped welts as red as a beet,
All blistered, the naked paladin.
His comrades embroiled in fierce melee,
with werewolves and cleric who sought to waylay,
with no armor or weapons with which to delay,
Our paladin stood there in total dismay!
